TW: Rape and incest, forced pregnancy
This Tuesday, the Colorado House Judiciary Committee will hear a bill that will ban all abortion and emergency contraception in Colorado, and make it a felony for a physician to perform an abortion.
Representative Humphrey’s bill (House Bill 1133) will deny survivors of rape or incest access to emergency contraception, and force them to give birth to their attacker’s child should they become pregnant as a result of these violent acts.
Forcing people to bear children that result from rape and incest goes too far, but Representative Humphrey doesn’t think it goes far enough. He wants to make sure any physician in Colorado who performs an abortion can be sentenced to 12 years in prison and a $750,000 fine.
We’ve seen attacks on reproductive health become law in states across the country over the past year, but don’t want them here in Colorado. This bill is an attempt to insert politicians into Coloradans personal, private health care decisions.

These dudes are fucking legit. They don’t just show up one day in court, either, they actually make friends with the kids and let them know they have a support system and that there are people in the world who care about them and will always have their back. And less important, but also cool, is that the few times a couple of them have come into my cafe, they’ve been super friendly and polite and when I told one of the guys that I noticed his Bikers Against Child Abuse patch and wanted him to know how awesome I thought he was because of it, he got kind of shy and blushed and said, “The kids are the awesome ones, we just let them know they’re allowed to be brave.”
Dude, my dad’s part of this! It’s literally the most badass, kindhearted group of bikers in existence.
It was really funny, too. He called me and said he’d joined a biker gang, trying to be all nondescript, and I had it pinned in no time flat. :p
*walks into starbucks with acoustic guitar* ohhhh there once was a hero named Ragnar the Red
i actually had this conversation today
when you try to do something original and someone copies you
I was mucking around with Audacity, listening to songs in reverse. For the fun of it, I put on everyone’s favorite song, Blurred Lines. And shockingly, I heard something I had never expected to hear. Robin Thicke was fooling us this whole time. He wasn’t trying to be misogynistic, he wanted us to listen closer to the song and understand that he in fact does believe his lady partner needs to be treated with the utmost respect.
You might find it VERY hard to believe, but I implore you to listen very closely (with headphones if you can, because it can be hard to hear). The message I’m talking about comes in around the 30 second mark.
After the 30sec mark I just kind of stared at my wall for the rest of the song trying to accept what I just heard.
I will reblog this every time I see it on my dash.
That’s what i have been trying to tell my friends!
what i’ve been telling my parents
Thank you! I hate it when people think just because a film is animated, they think it’s for kids!
They are kids cartoons
Problem is, 99% of peoples’ hearts grow old and rotten, instead of remaining young and vibrant.
Such is life alas, a very small niche of people retain their child-like innocence and wonder that allows you to enjoy these cartoons, holding them to the same emotive power as live action films.
child like innocence, my foot. i fucking hate kids and i still think animation is fantastic.
I’ll marathon Disney movies and all of the Land Before Time, just watch me
besides, if animation were just for kids, i know a lot of animators who wouldn’t be animators. last i checked, it’s best that you have some way to connect with your target audience, and that generally involves liking them.
i’m so afraid of marriage like what if you marry someone and like have kids with them and then they decide they don’t love you anymore or something idk man but that shit is scary
